Originally positioned as an organic energy drink in over saturated energy drink market, Soma was commissioned to re-design the label in order to re-position the beverage as an active lifestyle beverage with an all-natural hydrating energy and vitamins. Modifications made included softening the color palette, logically re-arranging the information, and revising the romance panel to better define the benefits of the Borojo superfruit. More emphasis was put on the product's function "hydrate + energize + perform" and the flavor name. "Powered by Borojo Superfruit" was moved to a less prominent place so as to sell the product on familiar flavor and function rather than trying to sell an unfamiliar superfruit. ••
